Agency Overview

Via Services is dedicated to turning disabilities into capabilities. For nearly 70 years, we have been helping children and adults with special needs achieve greater self-sufficiency and lead richer lives. Our programs make real changes in the lives of the special needs community—including the parents and family who love and care for them.

We serve approximately 2,100 unique clients annually through our two programs, First Step Early Intervention assessment and therapy as well as our Via West Campus day and residential programs.

The First Step Early Intervention Program provides therapy services to children who have, or are at risk for developmental delays, helping them maximize their capabilities and reach their individual potential. Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals provides speech and occupational therapy to children, from birth though age 8, and creates high quality individualized programs that stimulate growth, development, and learning potential. We also partner with key community agencies by providing Early Start assessments with San Andreas Regional Center as well as comprehensive developmental screenings in partnership with First 5 and the Department of Mental Health through the KidConnections Network of Care.

Our Via West Campus provides year-round day and short-term residential programs that give adults and children with disabilities and special needs a chance to learn and grow amid fresh air and scenic surroundings. The campus offers a character-building and life-changing experience regardless of age and ability. There are a variety of challenging and enriching activities in which participants learn life and social skills to assist in developing self-confidence as they work toward self-sufficiency.
