NEDAP is New York's leading advocacy center on community equity and financial justice. NEDAP's mission is to promote community economic justice, and to eliminate discriminatory economic practices that harm communities and perpetuate inequality and poverty. We work with local groups to create lasting social change, through coalition organizing, policy advocacy, participatory research, shareholder activism, community education, and legal strategies.
Since 1995, NEDAP has worked with hundreds of local groups to press for bank accountability and community reinvestment; organize financial cooperatives and other community development vehicles; promote immigrants' economic rights; and eliminate discriminatory lending and foreclosure practices.
