Colorado Consumer Health Initiative

The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative (the Initiative) is a non-profit organization comprised of healthcare consumers and consumer advocates working in a coalition effort to organize and advocate on key issues in healthcare policy. Our mission is to ensure barrier-free access to quality healthcare for all Coloradans.

Initiative members are engaged in a wide diversity of projects focusing on issues relating to healthcare financing (public and private), the uninsured, state-level health insurance reforms, and the impact of changes in the healthcare market on consumers.

The Initiative is building a strong and diverse coalition of well-informed consumer and consumer advocates. We research issues, create information pieces, and disseminate information on healthcare issues in Colorado. We take advantage of our location in Colorado?s State Capital to present our work to state policy makers.

The Initiative is a coalition of over 50 consumer advocates and advocacy organizations.
