Description

The Commonweal Foundation supports educational programs and projects assisting disadvantaged youth. Our overarching goal is to improve the educational and life outcomes for underserved children and youth. Our programs focus on the particular needs of low achieving students. The Foundation focuses on secondary and elementary education and also considers grants for educational research. Our core strategies are to leverage resources, remain focused, practice fiscal responsibility, embody the entrepreneurial spirit of our founder in our programs and grant making, help build people (not endowments), maximize collaboration with our partner organizations, maximize impact, and improve operational effectiveness.
