Description

The mission of the Market Foundation is to preserve the traditions and diversity of the Pike Place Market neighborhood. We accomplish that mission by protecting the Market's most precious resource -- it's people. We provide ongoing annual support to four human service agencies based in the Market: the Downtown Food Bank, Pike Market Medical Clinic, Senior Center and Child Care & Preschool. These agencies serve downtown Seattle's 10,000 low-income and elderly residents. In addition, we provide funding for low-income housing in the Market and historic preservation projects. Our work helps make this neighborhood a community.
