About Us

The Maternal and Child Health Program at University of Illinois at Chicago is one of twelve MCH programs in the U.S. Schools of Public Health that are currently funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Through collaborative research activities, field-based learning in courses and field practica, MCHP faculty, students, and staff work closely with state and local health agencies, welfare and education agencies, not-for-profit advocacy organizations, and community-based health and social service organizations to improve the health and well-being of women, children, and families, particularly in Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) Regions V and VII.
