Description

The Urban Ecology Institute (UEI) works with schools and community groups to investigate the natural environment in an urban setting. We provide hands-on science learning opportunities for students to better understand the relationship between the built and natural environments, and build the capacity of community groups to green their neighborhoods; the activities help to restore a sense of ecological health to urban areas.

Our work falls under two program areas: Education and Sustainable Cities.
