East Village Community School is a community of children, parents, and educators who are committed to teaching students through an inquiry-based curriculum. East Village Community School children are encouraged to explore their world while building upon their unique strengths, interests, and learning styles.
It is our priority to provide a safe environment, where children and families of every race, class, religion, ethnic background, and ability feel valued, welcome, cared for, and supported. Community-building is a core value of the school, and East Village Community School children learn the importance of social responsibility, democratic processes, and conflict resolution.
Our goal is that our graduates will be children who are confident in the skills they've developed, passionate about learning, and ready to contribute towards positive social change.
