Khanya-aicdd, formed in 1998, is a small NGO based in South Africa, that focuses on strategies to ensure participatory development. Drawing on rich experience with participatory methodologies, the Khanya team seeks to devise measures which ensure that communities have control over their own development. They have been instrumental in pioneering the community based planning approach, which employs participatory methods to give community input into governmental and municipal planning processes.

Partners include local NGOs, local and regional governmental departments, local and regional communities, to name a few.
