Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti (JJVS), Udaipur, India is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) focusing on the socio-economic improvements of the rural and tribal communities in Rajasthan, India. "Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti" means an 'Association Dedicated to Social Awareness and Public Development'.
Founded in 1985, it was started primarily to operate in the tribal villages of southern Rajasthan working in the improvement of social, rural and economic development programmes. Now the Rajasthan based NGO has work and contribution all over India and an international presence.
The NGO was formed by an experienced team aiming to work for rural and social development. They continue to work at a local village level and support local participation in development and empowerment work, particularly focused on the backward communities and areas.
JJVS is a catalyst, coordinator and facilitator that works to encourage participation of the rural community and classes. The work and dedication of the team has gained the faith and trust of the people and its supporters and they are established as a national leading social organisation.
Local support has made the team more successful and many new people have joined their programmes and activities such as Governmental departments, as well as National and International agencies.
An important part of our work is the promotion of traditional system of medicines and these services are extended to 7 additional states. Furthermore, JJVS has field offices and interventions in Jaisamand, Vali, Kurabar and Dhariyawad in Udaipur and Pratapgarh districts of Rajasthan.
JJVS is a rural development and voluntary organisation in India and has been undertaking integrated programmes for the upliftment and economic development of rural areas. JJVS works to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the less fortunate communities through its main sustainable programmes. Our mission is to eliminate poverty, unemployment, poor health and illiteracy by various programmes mainly Community Development, Traditional System of Medicine and other programmes for Education, Health, Agriculture, Rural Development, Environment, Microfinance, Women's Development, Child Welfare, Economic Development, Technology Improvement, Resource Development and Conservation, Resource Mobilisation, Fundamental Rights, Panchayati Raj Institutions and Local Governance, Leadership Development, Empowerment of Backward Classes and people, Awareness Generation, Knowledge Upliftment and many required programmes at local, zonal, regional, state and national level.
