American Red Cross-Oregon Pacific Chapter First Aid Service Team

About Us

The First Aid Service Team (FAST) provides First Aid/CPR/AED care as the first responder at a professional rescuer level (with paramedics, firefighters, and police behind us) at large and small community events in the Eugene area. The team serves all University of Oregon home football games - helping to keep safe an audience of 54,000 people at Autzen Stadium, the Olympic trials, IAAF World Junior Championships, the Eugene Marathon, running events, and outdoor community cultural events.

FAST is a student-led program – local high school students with a youth leadership structure, university students (especially pre-health), and adults (both volunteer EMTs and laypeople).

The program is focused on building good relationships between your local Oregon Pacific Red Cross chapter and the community, increasing member’s training and confidence in the field, expanding our member reach so more students have the opportunity FAST provides, and offering career pathways for aspiring healthcare workers and future leaders.
