Seattle BrainWorks is a community-based program that provides support and skill building opportunities for brain injury survivors. The Clubhouse program provides participants with the opportunity to strengthen work related and interpersonal skills. This is accomplished through participation in the Business Unit(data entry, accounting, administration), Hospitality Unit (food prep, maintenance, snack bar), and/or member driven projects. Each unit is designed to provide an array of structured tasks that members can complete individually or as a team, depending on desire and skill level. Providing opportunities for members to regain or develop new skills, all while promoting independence, has allowed the Seattle BrainWorks Clubhouse to play an intricate role in the empowerment process of brain injury survivors.
