In a world that produces enough resources each year to feed every person on the planet, no child should have to die in vain from starvation or easily preventable diseases. In pursuit of creating a different world, RESULTS empowers everyday people to take action by contacting their member of Congress.
And its actions from everyday people across the country that have truly made the difference. In the last two years, RESULTS volunteers and allies got the US to make a first ever 3-year pledge to The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations, which directly saves children's lives through access to life-saving vaccines. We also got the US to finally kick in some money to the Global Partnership for Education, which is the only international organization whose mission is to support countries' efforts to educate their children at the primary and secondary school level and who has already educated 23 million children since it began in 2002. Going forward, we are working to improve the U.S. investment in microfinance and the global fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Speaking up is ever more critical now because we can't allow Congress to balance the budget on the backs of the poorest people!
