About Us

Mission Statement of Hospice of Medina County is to:

Provide the highest quality, supportive care through a medically directed, interdisciplinary team to the terminally ill and their families, regardless of ability to pay.

Enhance the quality of life and ensure the preservation of the fundamental dignity of our clients throughout the dying process in accord with the wishes and directives of the terminally ill and their families.

Hospice of Medina County needs more volunteers for our growing program. Volunteers provide companionship, a listening ear, and relief for the caregivers of Hospice patients. Training is offered twice yearly and lasts for eight weeks.

When you volunteer at Hospice of Medina County, our first step is to focus on you. Our goal is to take what you do best, and give you a new, rewarding avenue in which to use your skills. Our training program prepares you for the job you choose.

Direct Patient Care Volunteer Interact directly with the terminally ill and their families. Providing caring companionship by: holding a hand, reading, playing cards, preparing meals, running errands, or doing light housekeeping.

Office Volunteer Provides invaluable help that gives our Hospice staff more time to care for patients. Works on new patient packets, newsletters, filing, and computers.

Fundraising Volunteers Helps plan and work at our annual fundraising events. Since Hospice of Medina County is a non-profit organization, this is essential.
