The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Toronto & Central Ontario is part of the largest and most respected wish granting organization in the world. Our mission is to grant the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. We have affiliates in 32 countries across 5 continents, and since our inception in 1983, over 187,000 wishes have been granted world wide. We are currently looking for volunteers to cover the following areas; Markham, Mississauga, and Hamilton. We are not looking for volunteers that live and could only volunteer in Toronto.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Toronto & Central Ontario is a lean grassroots organization. Our dedicated staff of eight people, with the help of over 160 incredible volunteers, grants many wishes to children in Southern and Central Ontario each year. Volunteers are the backbone of the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. Only through the hard work and commitment of all the volunteers in all chapters across the country is the Make-A-Wish Foundation able to continue granting more wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses each year.
