Nuru International is an organization that equips the poor with tools and knowledge to lead their communities out of extreme poverty through a holistic community development model. The extreme poor are smart, hard-working people. However, they lack access to basic tools and knowledge because they live in remote, rural areas. Nuru works exclusively in these remote, rural areas, sharing access to existing tools and knowledge and cultivating the poor to become self-sufficient, service-minded leaders who are able to end extreme poverty in their own communities. Communities will be completely self-sufficient, free from outside dependency and sustainable. Nuru is a 501(c)(3) organization that plans to make a significant impact in the fight against extreme poverty.
