Description

The San Francisco Education Fund strengthens our city's public schools by designing and leading innovative programs and engaging the public to ensure that all San Francisco students graduate ready for college, career, and civic responsibility.

Our work focuses on one goal: improving student success in San Francisco public schools. Because no single effort can yield the results we seek, the Education Fund utilizes a multi-faceted approach focused on teachers, volunteers, students, and strategic partnerships. Ongoing public engagement, research, and policy work spans all of our program areas.

Our integrated approach to strengthening schools: • Supports teachers in San Francisco schools with training and resources to enhance their classroom practice; • Mobilizes corporate and community volunteers to support teacher and school needs; • Engages students as leaders and positive role models in their schools and communities; and • Unites stakeholders committed to public education in providing students with the greatest opportunities for success.

We are a key partner and core support resource to the San Francisco Unified School District, marshalling financial and human capital resources in support of our city's public schools and all San Francisco students, especially those who are most at-risk. We incubate and disseminate innovative approaches to improving student success while continually building a shared sense of responsibility for improving public schools.
