Free Arts for Abused Children

Los Angeles, CA | www.freearts.org

About Us

Free Arts programs inspire hope in the lives of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, homelessness, and chronic poverty through innovative creative arts programs and positive interactions with caring adult volunteer-mentors. All of our programs are led under our philosophy that "ART HEALS!"

Our corps of more than 500 volunteers provides healing art and mentorship to 30,000 children throughout Los Angeles County each year in the form of our four cornerstone programs: Weekly, PACT (Parents And Children Together with art), Free Arts Days, and the Children's Courthouse program. Over the course of 35 years we have provided an outlet for more than half a million of Los Angeles' children.

We are always looking to bring on more volunteers who wish to share their creativity and compassion with the children we serve. Our volunteers are not limited to professional artists, so all are welcome! We welcome almost any creative practice, from drawing and painting, to music, to yoga, and beyond.
