Public Allies

Public Allies advances diverse young leaders to strengthen communities, nonprofits and civic participation. Since 1992, more than 3,800 diverse young adults have completed our 10-month-long program of full-time, paid apprenticeships in community organizations; weekly leadership training; and team service projects. Allies serve in 21 communities nationwide: Chicago, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Delaware, Estes Park (Colo.), Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Maryland, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York City, Orlando, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham, San Antonio, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New Mexico, and Washington, D.C. Our national headquarters are in Milwaukee.
