To provide high quality, transformative leadership, technical assistance and support for education in the District of Columbia. The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE)will accomplish its mission through the provision of evidence-based research that improves educational practices and student outcomes; policy analysis and program planning in support of systemic reform; data collection, analysis, programmatic monitoring and fiscal management for increased accountability for results.
