The Vetri Foundation for Children was established to help kids experience the connection between healthy eating and healthy living. Through food, education and social interaction, the VFFC works to give children the nutritional foundation they need to grow and thrive.
The VFFC encourages family style dining at home as well as in the school lunchroom. Food is the fuel that feeds our bodies and minds. We believe that it is not only the food but the process by which we eat it that sustains us. This is especially important in underserved communities where healthy, nutritious options are often limited.
The VFFC supports programs that inspire children to learn, excel and be products of their own decisions. Nourishing the mind of a child enables him or her to make informed decisions.
The VFFC equips children to reverse the health trends that threaten their future. When children experience the real connection between healthy eating and healthy living, they make better decisions about their own health, they influence their families, and they become a voice for better choices in their communities.
