Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the premier mentoring organization in the United States with approximately 500 agencies in all 50 states. We have served millions of children since 1904, primarily through one-to-one professionally supported relationships with caring adult volunteers. We plan to serve 1 million children and youth in mentoring relationships by 2010.

Our collective growth is contingent upon our ability to develop, attract and retain a pool of diverse and talented employees motivated by a strong desire to contribute in a big way.

A study conducted by Public/Private Ventures, a widely respected research organization in the youth development field, shows that our services make measurable differences in the lives of children as compared to similar children without a Big Brother or Big Sister.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America was selected by Forbes Magazine as 1 of the 10 large non-profits that "shine" out of an annual survey of 200, Dec., 2003 edition.
