As an international non-profit organization, United Planet (UP) strives to create a world in which all people understand, respect, and support one another. United Planet's global network of leaders and volunteers fosters cross-cultural understanding and addresses shared challenges to unite the world in a community beyond borders.
As featured on CNN, United Planet offers 1 week to 1-year cross-cultural volunteer quests to over 40 countries worldwide. We have short term (1 to 12 weeks), long term (6 months or 1 year) and group volunteering programs.
United Planet volunteers provide vital support to communities in need, immerse and learn about diverse cultures, and explore fascinating areas of the country visited.
A United Planet Quest is truly the ultimate educational adventure combining all elements of cultural learning, exploration, and humanitarian service. By working closely with the local people, United Planet volunteers make a positive difference in a range of areas, such as orphan care, education, healthcare, environmental conservation, housing for the poor, and so much more.
United Planet Quests enable volunteers to broaden global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding; improve foreign language skills; work in international teams; develop leadership skills; build lifelong friendships; and most importantly, make a true difference and have lots of fun along the way.
