Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life

The Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL) is a DC-Based Jewish environmental advocacy organization. Our mission is tri-part:1) We ensure that environmentalism is on the agenda for Jewish institutions 2) We speak on behalf of the Jewish community on Capitol Hill (to Congress, the White House, the EPA etc) and in interfaith coalitions with other faith-based environmental advocates and 3) We engage Jews around the country in environmental issues, focusing specifically on Jews otherwise not engaged in congregational life (specifically people between the ages of 18 and 35).

COEJL is the environmental initiative of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.
