About Us

We support the grassroots efforts of our communities in Tipitapa, Nicaragua that promote equitable and sustainable development. We work to educate our own community about the social, economic and political processes involving the US and Nicaragua. This work is based on the belief that human rights, economic justice, peace, and self determination, all play a vital role in securing the long term well-being and dignity of the Tipitapa community.

Our activities include exchanges of visitors, material aid shipments, educational and cultural events in New York City, and support for Tipitapa projects that include potable water, chilren's libraries, programs for youth, preventive health, environmental awareness, and community organizing in response to the effects of globalization.
