About Us

The mission of the Pan-African Association (PAA) is to serve, empower, and promote the integration of refugees and immigrants from Africa and around the world.

Created in 2002, PAA is an ethnic community-based organization that serves, empowers and promotes the interests of refugees and immigrants of African descent in the Chicago region. PAA is dedicated to providing a continuum of services that assist individuals and families toward achieving self-sufficiency and successful integration into American society. Our life affirming programs include job readiness training, health outreach, adjustment, and educational services, including mentoring, and more.

Staffed primarily by those of African descent with the support of volunteers, PAA encourages and promotes understanding between individuals of African descent and the community at large.
