Women Against Abuse Incorporated in 1976 as a
part-time hotline in a women’s center and is now the leading domestic violence
advocate and service provider in Philadelphia and among the largest domestic
violence agencies in the country.
Women Against Abuse has expanded
throughout the years to provide a comprehensive array of services to help
individuals seek safety from abuse and rebuild lives free from violence. Today,
Women Against Abuse serves over 15,000 individuals annually through its emergency
safe havens (2 – 100 bed safe havens), transitional housing, legal services,
hotline counseling, behavioral health, aftercare community based services, prevention & education, and
