Description

Institute of Reproductive Health, Georgetown University as part of Georgetown University School of Medicine, is dedicated to helping women and men around the world make informed choices about family planning and providing them with simple and effective Fertility Awareness-Based Methods (FAM) options, such as the Standards Days Method (SDM). Our mission is to expand family planning options by making FAM widely available through high quality services and information. The Institute translates complex concepts into simple, practical approaches and manageable information, identifies best practices through clinical trials, operations research and behavioral studies; and increases access to and acceptability of FAM methods worldwide through partnerships with cooperating agencies (e.g. Population Council) WHO and other local and international family planning organizations.
