Description

The WestWind Foundation is a private, family foundation based in Charlottesville, Virginia. The foundation is dedicated to protecting the integrity of natural ecosystems and the health of human communities through its grant making programs. WestWind provides grants to environmental nonprofit organizations that work both domestically and internationally. The foundation also supports nonprofits that promote reproductive health and rights globally, with a particular emphasis on the Latin American and Caribbean region. In 2009, the foundation awarded more than $3.2 million in grants.
