The Migrant Farmworkers Project is a non-profit program sponsored by Legal Aid of Western Missouri and funded by various religious organizations. Our Mission addresses five main objectives:
1. Help farmworkers meet emergency material needs; 2. Provide legal advice or representation to farmworkers and guidance to access public benefits; 3. Provide health education, health care advocacy and individual medical and dental case management for farmworkers; 4. Facilitate educational and leadership development opportunities for farmworkers of all ages; 5.Raise consciousness about migrant farmworkers' lives and the relationship to U.S. immigration, economic, foreign and domestic policies.
