Dunia Health

Dunia Health is a global health startup focused on building a suite of technologies that utilize mobile networks. Our goal is to provide products with additional utility built in for the user - the nurse, the doctor, the community health worker - in a way that allows them to more efficiently channel energy towards patient care.

Our pilot product is a vaccine alert system designed for use in regions with politically- or seasonally-sourced delays in shipments. Delays leave clinics without basic vaccines for months at a time - and when they finally arrive, there often are not enough to meet the backlog of children in need. We're creating an application to automatically text parents when vaccines relevant to their children arrive, triage those patients, and schedule appointments at the appropriate clinic.We are currently working with a few potential clinical partners, with field testing in the Middle East slated for Summer 2013.
