About us

The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.

The organization operates The Trevor Lifeline (866/4-U-TREVOR), the only nationwide, around-the-clock suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth. In addition to the lifeline, has important information on identifying suicidal signs, how to assist someone with suicidal tendencies and also houses "Dear Trevor" a confidential, Q&A resource where youth can ask non-time sensitive questions about the myriad of issues surrounding sexual orientation and identity.
