Fair Housing Council of Greater San Antonio

The San Antonio Fair Housing Council, Inc., doing business as, the Fair Housing Council of Greater San Antonio (FHCOGSA), is a private, non-profit corporation organized to promote fair housing and non-discrimination in housing across the South Texas area through education, complaint investigation, and advocacy. The Council works to promote fair housing by educating both housing consumers and housing providers about their rights and responsibilities under the Federal Fair Housing Act. In addition, the Council conducts investigations of consumer complaints alleging discriminatory housing practices in the areas of rental housing, real estate sales, mortgage lending, and/or homeowners' insurance. Moreover, the Council advocates for victims of housing discrimination and assists them with filing administrative complaints with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
