Living Ecology

Living Ecology is committed to healing the Earth by empowering people and communities with permaculture skills. Living Ecology supports Aranya Agricultural Alternatives which is an amazing nonprofit in India by coordinating their volunteer program. We help villages become completely self sufficient in food by teaching permaculture methods. We plant food forests for people and their livestock. We work by creating women's groups to manage the projects. We build homes and secure land for the landless poor. We reforest large areas in native and timber trees. We teach garden programs in schools, and organic farming workshops to farmers. Aranya will be hosting the 2017 International Permaculture Conference and we are setting up demonstration sites to be showcased there. The International Permaculture Conference will have 8-10 000 attendees and we have a lot to do to prepare for it!
