The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established to strengthen public programs through private partnerships. The Mayor's Fund is committed to facilitating innovative public-private collaborations that support NYC's emerging needs, while simultaneously evaluating the efficacy and merit of programs for future funding. Established in 1994, the Mayor's Fund serves as an important vehicle for foundations, corporations and individuals to contribute to public programs and enhance the City's ability to serve its residents. Currently, the Mayor's Fund partners closely with City agencies and the Mayor's Office to support programs in areas including the environment, youth development, health, financial empowerment, volunteerism, and the arts. Several of these collaborations are informing the efforts of cities across the country and are helping to shape national policy.
