Have you thought about teaching English as a second language?
Students and faculty in our master's program in TESOL, Literacy and Culture were recently featured in an article on their work in teaching English as a second language, here in San Diego and around the world. Check the feature out online!
Our program offers candidates the theoretical basis, as well as practical knowledge and field experiences, in teaching English as a Second and Foreign Language. It prepares candidates to work effectively in grades PK-16 and adult education settings. Many of our alumni teach in community colleges, universities, adult education centers, and language academies, both in the United States and overseas. Graduates have gone on to teach English in Japan, Korea, Kuwait and Brazil, to name a few.
