Posted on: July 25, 2012

Posted by: The Medical Elective Network

Description

The Medical Elective Network provides health care electives and global health programs in Trujillo, Peru.

Our 4 week Global Health Program is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the public health issues faced by a developing country, such as Peru, and an understanding of how these challenges are managed. Each day of the program provides participants with a new learning experience.

The program is coordinated by a local health care professional who manages each aspect of the program.

As well as covering different aspects of public health in Peru, each 4 week program will focus on a chosen public health topic relevant to the developing and developed worlds.

Our 48 hour Spanish language course is an important element of the program. The course is designed to provide students with the language skills necessary to work with Spanish speakers in a health care environment.

Elements of this broad program include

  • Medical Spanish program
