Happy Hands Foundation, a non profit organization working towards revival of Indian traditional arts, invites applications for the The Youth ACT Fellowship 2013.
The Youth Arts, Community and Transformation (ACT) Fellowship, is aimed at connecting the youth of India with the country's craft-communities and rural-livelihoods. The month long fellowship includes an Orientation/Training (in New Delhi), a two-week project in the village, and a week long time to compile their learnings into a public exhibit/campaign.
Selected fellows are given the opportunity to travel to a craft cluster within India, and work towards strengthening the community through innovative solutions, and projects across disciplines - marketing, creative/product development, photography, technology-based teaching, pricing and accountancy, etc.
In this cross-flow of ideas and inspired learning, the fellows discover their own self, strengths, aspirations and help rural artists get better opportunities and develop a stronger enterprise with them, for them.
If you are 17-20 years old, and possess the strength in you to take the road less traveled, this fellowship is for you!
Applications close May 12, 2013. The Fellowship kit and other details can be found on our website:http://new.happyhands.in/programmes/education/yaf/
