Program description

Through the Books From The Heart "Spotligh School" profile, The Heart of America Foundation® highlights one DC Metro Area school monthly. Spotlight Schools need your support so that they can continue to help their students read, succeed and make a difference!

We are proud to announce this month's Spotlight School is Cleveland Elementary. Cleveland serves about 300 students in pre-school through fifth grade and has been successfully fighting hard to improve test scores.

You can help Cleveland Elementary by:

  • Donating books to their new book club (20 copies of a single title)
  • Volunteering to read to students
  • Conducting a book drive to collect books
  • Making a monetary donation.
