With the support of the Ford Foundation, the French-American Foundation-United States has launched the Immigration Journalism Award to specifically honor excellence in the coverage of immigration and integration issues worldwide.
With the Immigration Journalism Award, the French-American Foundation will recognize and bring increased national and international attention - both from the media and the public - to excellent pieces of journalism on the topic of immigration and integration and to high-quality immigration reporting in general. The deadline to apply is set to June 29th 2012.
This year, two winners will be selected for work published in the United States or in Europe, in English or French. Award recipients may win up to $10,000 and will be invited to attend and speak at the Immigration Journalism Award Ceremony in New York (Fall 2012), where their work will be celebrated in the presence of renowned media professionals.
