The MPSA, Master of Public Service & Administration, is a 48-credit hour program that offers areas of study in nonprofit management, government, emegency management, and policy areas like education, energy, technology, health, and the environment. Students find employment in areas of nonprofits, federal agencies, state and local government agencies, educational institutions, and even the private industry. They complete professional internships between their first and second year and capstone group projects with clients in their final year. Enrollment is each fall.
Scholarship consideration: Admitted students are awarded scholarships from $30K-1K a year, depending upon merit. The $1K minimum allows us to also issue non-residents out-of-state tuition waivers that qualifiy them for Texas rates, running approximately $11K a year. Couple that with a low-cost cost of living index, and we help our students pursue the careers they desire without back-breaking debt.
Application deadline:
Fall admission only. We open applications in September and encourage the mid-January priority deadline to ensure you have full scholarship consideration. Competitive candidates will show strong academic ability, a disposition toward leadership, and a commitment to serving others in either domestic or international settings. A GRE will be required. About 70 students are admitted each year and students have diverse backgrounds, experiences, and degrees. Call 979-862-3476 or email us at admissions@bushschool.tamu.edu for more help.
