Program description

We are an organization with many school all over Thailand. The areas are farming communities, our volunteer teachers are really part of their community. Learning English in Thailand is luxury. We want change that, we want to help by giving free English education for all. We help rural schools and try to provide education for all ages. From kindergarten to secondary level.

English as a foreign language has been a part of the national Thai curriculum for as long as anyone can remember. All primary, secondary and university students have English as a part of their weekly or daily class schedule. The wealthier schools throughout Thailand can afford the hefty salary required by foreign teachers. Considering most Thai students and children aren't entitled to this luxury. By sharing your time, energy, expertise, and love with people in need here, you`re able to make a real difference for them and help instigate positive changes for the country at large.

Schools in Thailand are not well maintained. There isn't infrastructure in underprivileged schools. You will be teaching about 20 hours a week. You will trained to prepare lesson plans and how to teach.
Classes can be from between 30 to 60 students. Unfortunately many of the schools don´t have books It would be great if you could help by bring materials with you.

Volunteering can be tough and you get be challenged by these students. Some classes they just don't like English, so it is up to you to change this. Try and make you class exciting. More than likely for your first week you may have make 5 or 6 lesson plans and just get a feel for the class. After your first week it is smooth sailing.

Volunteering has enormous benefits for both you and the people you will be working with in Thailand. Thailand is a rapidly developing country that welcomes foreign volunteers to help its people better their lives and safe guard their environment. Thailand is a nation that has been catapulted into modernity. Its relatively strong economic development and booming tourist industry means that English teachers are in high demand. Volunteering will take you away from the popular tourist destinations of Koh Samui and Phuket and introduce you to more traditional Thai communities.

Please note there is a $5 a day charge for all volunteers for your accommodation. This is to make sure that you have accommodation on arrival. No matter if you stay for 2 weeks or a year. Some volunteers are on their second year now. They paid $480 for unlimited stay. We are the cheapest in Thailand. We have 30 volunteer enquires a day. We want to help you the volunteer and we must help the rice farming communities get the education that everyone is entitled to. Please note the 1st of November is the start of term. October schools are closed.

We have recently been approved by the education ministry of Thailand. The schools have lost their budget so they must rely on our organization for so many volunteers. There isn't enough volunteer teachers for all the schools we have. We need over 400 volunteer teachers. Right now we only have 35 volunteer teachers. Help us make it to 400.
