Art in Tanzania is member of the group of Tanzanian NGO's running the UNICEF Children Agenda Tanzania program. This program is in need of volunteers and interns. Our work are is in Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Bagamoyo, Moshi at Kilimanjaro, Karatu, Serengeti ja Masai land.
Art in Tanzania (AIT) is a self-sustainable Non Government Organisation (NGO) registered in Tanzania, Zanzibar, Ethiopia and Finland. Established in Dar es Salaam in 2001, Art in Tanzania currently has volunteer and internship centres in Dar es Salaam, Moshi, the Maasai tribal lands, Karatu, and Zanzibar. Over the course of a year, AIT receives over 1,000 volunteers and interns, with approximately 100 volunteers/interns in country at one time.The volunteer's community work focuses on assisting in Educational, Social Sector, Cultural and Medical projects including Nursery, Primary and Secondary Education assistance, Orphan care, Women's Groups, HIV awareness, Adult English Classes, Music production, Arts & Handicrafts and Magazine publishing etc.
Art in Tanzania's Mission: Advancement of community development through volunteer and intern projects in the fields of education, HIV/AIDS awareness, construction, sports programs and orphan care and the development of media (Mzuka Records and Fiesta Magazine) to promote social awareness. We are also partner of UICEF Children Agenda Tanzania Program and this program provides numerous volunteering posts.
