Building on over two decades of leadership development experience, OCA-Greater Los Angeles Chapter (OCA-GLA) welcomes candidates to apply for the 2013-2014 Civil Rights Fellowship. OCA-GLA will provide a total stipend of $25,000.00 to cover travel arrangements, housing and personal expenses. A separate stipend will be provided for basic health insurance coverage. The Civil Rights Fellowship is an opportunity for the next generation of Asian Pacific Americans to develop their leadership skills, and to increase a deeper understanding of social justice issues that face the APA community. The Civil Rights Fellow works on advocacy issues critical to the Asian Pacific American community, participate in professional and leadership development programs, receive hands-on experience managing a community based non-profit organization, fundraising, website management and media relations.
