Northern Exposure is a week-long Israel experience program offering participants an opportunity to encounter Israel through community service, off-the-beaten-track hiking, and spirituality workshops. A new session begins every Sunday from mid-May until September, 2013.
The program is highly subsidized to $100/week and includes housing in Livnot's 500 year-old campus in the heart of Tzfat's Artist Colony, two meals per day, hiking trips and seminars. Makes a great extension for Taglit-Birthright participants and you can join for more than one session.
Tzfat has been home to the most famous and influentual Kabbalists, as well as hosts of artists and musicians. Today, thanks to 33 years of Livnot volunteers, Tzfat is once again a thriving creative community and is a welcome place for your wandering soul.
Here's what recent participants are saying:
"I really enjoyed how easy everyone was able to come together so well to celebrate in community. I can't wait to come back for more!"
"Before I came I thought I had to go to India to find my spiritual self. I still want to go to India but I feel like I can find a lot of spirituality here in Tzfat."
"It gave me a chance to be present, reflect, and ask myself important questions that I did not have time to think about on Taglit."
"This experience has allowed me to experience Israel and Tsfat through more personal exploration. All staff were friendly and insightful and I look forward to alumni events in the future."
