Program description

We are very excited to introduce you to Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots service learning program for elementary, middle and high school students in NYC. As a pioneer in conservation and animal welfare issues and a United Nations Messenger of Peace, Dr. Jane Goodall is passionate about inspiring the next generation of leaders to take action on behalf of people, animals and the environment.

Register for the program and join Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots on November 2nd 2013 for an in-person training or November 5th 2013 for an on-line webinar to learn how to:

  • Use our flexible model to customize service projects that reinforce your curriculum.
  • Engage in community mapping to help students identify community needs/assets and design a project.
  • Inspire students to take leadership and ownership of their work.
  • Participate in our festive Celebration of Service at New York University in May. The event includes workshops, hands-on activities and participation in a large community service project.
