Increase your understanding of global affairs and explore international career paths by learning from experts in politics, economics, law, and international relations. This program covers the political, economic, social, and cultural issues that shape relations throughout the world. In addition to coursework, students will gain insight into the work of the United Nations, specialized international agencies, private sector firms, and nongovernmental organizations through private briefings and site visits.

Upon successful completion, students receive the Certificate in Global Affairs, a renowned credential usually requiring six semester‐long courses.

Each student will take three required courses:

• International Relations in the Post World War II Era
• Politics of International Economic Relations

• International Negotiations

Students will also choose three electives from the following:

• Global Climate Change

• Inside Latin America

• NGOs in World Affairs

• International Law

• Emerging Markets

• Inside Africa Today

• Inside Asia Today

Special Friday activities include:

• Site visits to NGOs

• Visit to the United Nations with briefings

• Site visit to a Permanent Mission to the United Nations

• Interactive crisis simulation
