ANNOUNCING NEW PROGRAM OPENING LATE SUMMER 2012 New York City

SCO Family of Services is seeking high energy, dedicated individuals interested in working in small, community-based residential programs for delinquent youth.

Programs will be located in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx and will use the evidence-based Missouri approach to the treatment of juvenile delinquents.

Training in the Missouri approach and Safe Crisis Management will be provided.

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING RESIDENTIAL POSITIONS FOR LATE SUMMER 2012:

  • Director of Social Services: F/T Requires an LMSW or related degree, supervisory experience and experience delivering evidence-based services. Experience with court-involved youth is preferred.
  • Site Director: F/T Requires an LMSW or related degree; experience with court-involved youth; experience with residential setting; supervisory experience; and a valid driver's license from NY, NJ or CT. Site director's hours will be 11am-7pm and he/she is on-call 24/7 for emergencies and questions.
  • Group Leader: F/T Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and at least two years of residential child-care experience serving at-risk adolescent population. Hours are 11 am – 7 pm.
  • Case Worker: F/T Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field. A candidate with extensive youth development experience will also be considered if he/she is close to completing a degree within in a reasonable time in accordance with OCFS standards. The case workers hours are 10am-6pm, flexed as needed.
  • Youth Specialist: F/T Requires a high school diploma or a GED and a minimum of one year experience working with youth. Associates degree preferred. Day, evening and overnight shifts available.
  • Education Specialist: F/T Requires a Bachelor's degree in education, social work or a related field (M. Ed/MSW preferred), with at least two years of documented relevant experience.
  • Parent Advocate: F/T Requires a high school diploma or GED and someone who has personally experienced having a child in the child welfare or juvenile justice system and has successfully been reunited with their child(ren).
  • Program Nurse: F/T; LPN or RN degree and experience working with adolescents; hours are 11 am – 7 pm; travel between sites required.
