The TAKOMA FOUNDATION, actively pursuing its mission to make grants that promote and facilitate a socially, environmentally, economically and culturally healthy Takoma Park community, is currently seeking to fund innovative projects that encourage and involve resident participation in community life, build connections between people, empower small groups in dealing with immediate community concerns, provide opportunities to community residents that would not be possible otherwise, and meet the needs of low and moderate income residents.
Each individual grant award will range from $500 - $2000. The Takoma Foundation will give preference to those applications that are well thought out, ready to be implemented and able to be completed within a one year timeframe.
All non-profit organizations that have a letter of determination from the IRS, civic and neighborhood associations or have a qualified non-profit fiscal agent are eligible to apply. Plans must provide services and activities to residents of Takoma Park, Maryland and surrounding neighborhoods.
Interested parties should complete and submit the Takoma Foundation Grant Application which can be found on the foundation's web site: http:takomafoundation.org
