Most exciting is our 100% model, with which 100% of all donations go directly to programs on the ground while administrative costs are paid for by KHI's parent company through domestic operations! There is no large bureaucracy here…you are the link between resources on the ground in East Africa and sponsors. With potential around every corner, this position requires tenacity and a meticulous attention to detail to ensure results happen. The right person is autonomous and has a proven record of accomplishment. Do you have what it takes? Responsibilities • Researches, plans and implements corporate funding strategies • Researches prospective foundation sources and prepares grant applications as necessary • Researches prospective major funders and prepares and implements fundraising strategies • Plans capital campaign strategies, including the establishment of goals, campaign strategies, etc. • Updates comprehensive records of funders, sources of funds, organizations, etc. • Creates development literature and other materials • Keeps committees and solicitors organized and updated • Helps prepare and manage approved annual fundraising budgets and timelines • Researches and coordinates the development and implementation of select "special project" fundraising activities • Performs other related duties as assigned • Works closely with In-country hospital administration, pediatric staff, volunteers, and government officials to advance health and nutrition programs • Assumes responsibility for program budgeting and adheres to grant award terms and conditions • Seeks and coordinates grant applications for KHI field staff in East Africa • Troubleshoot any operational issues that arise in the field • Contribute to research activities, including data collection and analysis

Qualifications • Proven record of success in coordinating international programs and development activities • Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent training and experience in public health or related field to demonstrate expertise • Demonstrated success in personally building, developing and retaining strong, positive relationships with major public and private sector funders • Effective oral and written communication and analytical skills.
